View Full Version : STB not working for new connection

After 3 weeks wait I finally got an engineer to connect the new apartment I moved into to Smartvision yesterday Jan 8th. The apartment is in Smithfield Market.
The STB that he brought with him would not work, he said that it was part of a bad batch. So he dropped another box into the concierge today. I tried using that box but it does not work. When I turn on the box I see the Amino logo on the TV for about a minute and then the screen goes blank. The power and SCART cable are obviously ok if I see the logo and there is a green light on the network port indicating that this is ok. The red light on the front of the box flashes once and then twice and repeats this sequence. I've tried cycling the power and leaving it powered on for a couple of hours and it makes no difference. I suspect that the MAC address of this box is not matched to my apartment, the MAC address of the STB is 00 02 02 0D 5E 6B.
The engineer would not give me a telephone number I could contact in case of a problem, the telephone numbers listed on this site are unreachable, emails to the customer services addresses given on this site are not replied to. I'm hoping someone here reads this and gets in contact.
