That article in the Examiner quotes the following:

The “Christmas Bundle” is open to new and existing customers in Ireland and includes 12 months of free broadband as well as voice services from €10 per month.

So what exactly are the "Loyal" existing customers eligible for?

I have stated that it appears that current customers can avail of the call package for another €10 but it unclear as to wether we get the free BB, and as I have said it looks like a con, now it states that new customers needs to sign up for a 2 year contract, in order to avail of the free BB and the call package.

but with all the different price tarrif out there, it is crazy, with some on 4Mbs and new customers being restricted to 3Mbs at the same cost

Your other posts were read johnmd & in your previous post you too use the word "Appear" & that's why someone from Smart should define it beyond doubt so customers can't be confused or the actual promotion misinterpeted.

I have been posting quite frequently on this matter esp when some of us are on 4Mbs and all new customers are being given 3Mbs fr the same price, is it any wonder why people are confused and even CS dont even seem to have a real idea what product is avail and to what cost to the consumer.

now as I mentioned it Appears we can avail of the offer but it is unclear as to wether they will give us the free BB, I think there are at least 6 tarrifs some on the free call since Oct last year they been restricted to upgrades, those on 3Mbs and us on 4 Mbs some with extra 2Mbs at €5 per 2Mbs upgrade and new comers pay for €5 per 1Mbs upgrade

Who gives a rats ass the broadband is superb and well worth whatever you are paying for it. As long as the contention stays at 1:1 I dont care if someone else is getting free broadband as long as they spend a lot on calls so that Smart can keep the broadband service good.

If Smart turn into something like Talktalk (UK) with the free broadband I will leave them instantly and attack them with all my wands! lol

as a consumer who fought to have my telephone line converted from a carrier line to a line which is capable of carrying broadband.

I even had an article in IOS now irish mail, saying that if 2 people bought the same type of car then would expect the same stuff for the same price, therefore it is unfair, on new consumers to pay the same price and have less of a service, an apple is an apple, not half an apple with the skin attached to the the other side.

we all complain of rip off ireland, well to me the different charges all smart applies to different customers is ripping them off

This doesn't make any sense, people negotiate car prices all of the time, you pay what you think is worth to you. You don't complain if you buy a shirt at a store and then see it on sale a year later. You knew what it cost at the time you purchased it and you made a decision about if it was worth that price. It doesn't matter what some other guy pays or if they start a promotion later.

if we bought the things at the same time, I feel it is unfair and confusing when people read these forums and find out that they have 3Mbs and paying exactly the same cost as people with 4Mbs, no other BB provider that I know have different tarrifs for different people.

they have different rates of tarrif depending on the option, but they havent said well all our long term customers can have 4 Mbs but we will rip off newer customers 3 Mbs at the same price.

if you look through the forums, some people availed of promotions and when they tried to upgrade they were told they couldnt , even thought those promotions were no longer avail to other users.
