View Full Version : Not jumpered yet, taking a while.

4 of us live in this house, we all want/need boadband and decided to switch from eircom to smart due to the lack of line rental required. Joe was assigned to complete this task. We have been waiting for the change since the eircom broadband was unjumpered on the 17th of November.
To cut a long story short last Wednesday we were advised that a eircom engineer was going to call to the house on Friday (27/1/06). That Wednesday eircom called and said they would be out. But never showed on the Friday and no one contacted us by mail or phone or anything. This has finally drove Joe over the edge (it's been over 2 months after all) and on Monday his plan is to call up scream bloody blue murder, cancel the account and switch to BT. Personally i want to wait another week as i believe switching at this stage will just cause more hassle but i got out voted. I don't want to wait another 2 months for broadband.

I put in his email and mobile number in my profile plus the phone number our line had when we were with eircom. The name on the account is Joe Hayden. Don't know if you can find the account with that info but it's all i have. If someone could contact him is some way before his monday spa attack (that's right i said spa) and give him even a little hope I'm fairly sure he wont bother switching. Even if he can't be convinced it will at least make him less likely to scream down the phone at some poor 1st line agent who never even heard of the case before.

I would advise that you remove your phone number from the location field (which is visible to everyone that reads this forum) in the User CP and paste it into the Phone number field which is viewable to Smart admins only :(
