Dylan, are you setting up Xbox wired or wireless?. I recently joined Smart and set up the supplied Thompson modem pretty easily. And believe me if I can do it so can you:D.

If you still need help let me know and I will TRY and talk you through it.

Why does my xbox 360 not connect to the Internet?
I am having problems connecting to my network with my xbox 360. The other 3 computers in my house have no problems connecting to the Internet. The cable I am using for the xbox 360 to connect it to the modem works with the computer, but not the xbox 360. It worked with the xbox 360 a few months ago, though. If someone could help me, It would be very much appreciated.

It could be that you're using a crossover cable and not sure if the 360's network adapter is autosensing, to be sure try another cable, wire it into the back of the router in the lan ports (numbered 1-4), on the 360 go to your system settings, set everything to automatic and see how it goes.

If you're using wireless make sure you have the correct WEP/WPA password and that mac address filtering is turned off on your modem.

Personally I don't use the smart supplied modem, went out and bought a D-Link, they do a range of award winning gamerlounge modems that prioritise game packets (although you can do this with good QoS on most routers).
