Is interleaving on or off?

I tested my ping with my m8 who is Eircom 1mb connection and he pinged 35 in game and me with my 2mb Smart line was only 50?
I think when I 1st enquired about this months ago that I believe I had a choice if I wanted it on or off and as far as I know off is better for gamers etc

By default its on as it ensures data integrity over ping times. You can ask nicely for the guys to turn it off on your line.

If your line is in decent quality then there should be no issue, but if your line is bad then it would be advisable to keep interleaving on.

Edit: And if you like run a tracert to the server you are playing on and post it here so we can see where is the bottleneck.

Drop me or one of the other admins a PM if you definitely want it enabled. It will be enabled on a 'your mileage may vary' case, so if it turns out that your line is a bit noisy, you may get more stability with interleaving turned back on.

That said, theres not much to lose and it can make a big difference to a gamer, so let me know if you want it :)

Since I got interleaving switched off my connection has gone up from around a 1900kb/s average to 1972kb/s :) :) :) :)
No drops and everything seems fine n' dandy
In game ping improved by between 10-15
