Default Sync 10 times slower since this morning

Hello, my router picked up on two disconnections after 8am this morning (see graph included). Right now my stats are:

Code:
Last Result:
Download Speed: 1550 kbps (193.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 388 kbps (48.5 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 48 ms
Sat Jul 31 17:46:06 2010

I HAVE NO DIAL TONE, so it seems to be an eircom problem...

also my stats seem to be worse than before. Just for clarity, i have no phone connected to anywhere. Just one phone plug where the modem takes its juice :

Code:
Output Power: Up 12.5 / Down 19.5
Line Attn: Up 42.5 / Down 45.0
SN Margin: Up 15.5 / Down 15.0
This is 10 times slower than my usual sync speed. I have reset the modem 3 times and it still doesn't fix it. Could someone please look into this? My phone number is on my profile.

My exchange is on Dolphin's Barn and I am not a bitstream customer.

Still the same today, latency increased my almost 10ms... I am guessing that eircom is at fault here since my dialtone is gone. Any admin could log that?

Any update on this? I know this is a bank holiday but this is quite frustrating...

hiya,

if the phone service is not working then i would suggest calling customer care who can trigger an eircom fault.

Hey Colm, thanks for your reply, called customer care first thing this morning. They asked me to do the usual checks (rebooting the modem, connecting the phone alone, modem alone, etc...) and eventually concurred that an eircom fault needed to be logged. I have been told that should take up to 4 days to get it resolved.

Wait and see...

Right, after 2 weeks and 3 eircom engineers, they eventually found that my line had been altered. The eircom man today rewired my appartment to another line and then fixed the exchange. Back to full speed now.
